Conserve Italia Group is one of Europe’s largest agri-food industry companies with a global turnover of 1,098 million euro (2009), it is the leader in its field. The group processes approximately 650,000 tonnes of raw materials every year; fruit, vegetables and tomatoes, grown over a surface area of over 24,000 hectares, with over 1 million tonnes of finished goods which are packaged in 12 production plants; 8 in Italy, 3 in France and 1 in Spain.

The company has 1,868 full time employees and there are approximately 1,169 temporary workers (average number of the accounting year) for the harvesting and processing period.
Approximately 63,5% of the production, about 1,000,000 tonnes, is sold in Italy and the remaining 36,5% in Europe and other countries.

  - Conserve Italia, 711 million Euro (64.7%);
  - Conserves France, 230 million Euro (21.0%);
  - Juver Alimentación, 116 million Euro (10.5%);
  - Warburger, 27,4 million Euro (2.5%);
  - Mediterranean Growers, 14,3 million Euro (1.3%).

Turnover by product category:

  • 41% beverages (juices, nectars and fruit based drinks);
  • 22% tomato based products;
  • 17% preserved vegetables;
  • 12% preserved fruit;
  • 8% other products.


Conserve Italia Group’s brand policy has always constituted one of the strategic guidelines and today the branded sales (Valfrutta, Yoga, Derby Blue, Cirio, De Rica, Juver, St Mamet, Jolly Colombani) represent over 74% of the total turnover; the remaining business being made up of sales for own label and products for industry. Conserve Italia has developed a consolidated relationship with all the major retail chains; representing approximately 63% of its turnover. The Ho.Re.Ca. channel (Hotel, Restaurants and Cafés) is also an important channel, especially for beverages as well as for the Foodservice lines. Globally these three channels (Retail, Ho.Re.Ca. and Foodservice) represent 80% of sales.
